I couldn’t resist this weekend and donked $80 on Hold’em Manager. I’m absolutely loving the software. I probably only used about 2% of the functionality, but I already see how much more powerful it is compared to PT2. The hand ranges for different situations, and the filters by board type and hand strength are amazing. There’s also some sick functionality in the works. Custom Stats for reports will be sick once HM is properly documented and there’s a Wizard (on their top 5 to-do).
Some Issues
I wasn’t too crazy about having GT+ type HUD instead of PAHUD type hud (with individual stats, not rows), but the easy workaround is to Enable Panels in HUD options, then if you want you can Add Panel between each stats, and you’ll get each stat individually. Displaying player names on the HUD seems redundant, especially since Holdem Manager updates every 5 seconds, so you get proper stat positioning much faster than PAHUD anyway, so I removed that. The ability to set hover pop-ups for individual stats seems like it can be a great tool once I set it up right and get used to it. Also option to toggle session stats for individual players is nice for when you get on a table with a crazy 70/50 fish and suspect a reg is over-adjusting or on tilt.
A problem that I noticed is there doesn’t seem to be any Fold to Steal, there’s only SB FtS and BB FtS.
Also, a word of caution for people switching from PT2 (old PokerTracker). If you want to transport old hands from PT2 to HM, if you had Move Hands After Import enabled in PT, point Holdem Manager to that directory for import. When I used Utilities > Export Hand Histories to File, I got import errors for about 10% of the hands, but importing from PT’s backup directory worked fine (about 1% error of the non-duplicate hands).
PS, For my custom HM HUD, go here.

Alex,
Great tip about importing old PT2 hands to HM.
